I have 3 daughters who have been teaching school for the past 20 years and they are ready to leave this profession. My daughter’s heart was broken yesterday when she was compelled to teach her 5th graders some things that would be useless to them on any test given by the State. Such a waste! Do yo understand how hard it is not to be able to teach the way you feel is most productive but are forced to teach how someone tells you to? Huge changes need to be made in our education system. I saw a quote on Facebook that said: If our kids are not learning the way we teach maybe we need to teach the way they learn.
