Securing the Blessings of Liberty in Texas

1. Protect individual rights, and defend the Bill of Rights
2. Respect the consent of the government
3. Recognize the people’s right to alter or abolish tyrannical government
4. Secure and guarantee property to secure both life and liberty
5. Remove state and local government in Texas from the Texas economy; let Texans make their own individual and business economic decisions free from the government
6. Ensure that state government and local governments are practicing fiscal restraint and fiscal discipline with the spending of Texas taxpayers’ money
7. Limit the size and scope of the Texas government to focus only on the protection of individual rights, and the public safety of all Texans
8. Continue requiring the state budget be balanced every year
9. Keep the state sales tax low, while eliminating all income-based taxation in Texas
10. Promote and encourage individual opportunity and achievement
11. Teach Texans how to self-govern themselves and their families
12. Provide general education through a variety of school choices
13. Public debt is destructive to Texas freedom, so the Texas government should eliminate all public debt
