Our state officials must be held ethically accountable and expected to disclose financial relationships with public entities and be barred from voting on legislation that directly benefits their financial interests. Additionally, our state legislators should be banned from earning legal referral fees from cases they do not work on personally.

State campaign finance reporting should be required more often, especially during the last 30 days of a campaign, to ensure voters have the most accurate information to help them make a well-informed decision.
