    Good question.

    I don’t speak for the campaign but at this point that question seems rather moot.

    Abbott has proposed several recommendations dealing with the Right to Bear Arms, specifically, allowing CHL holders to openly carry handguns.

    Do you think that the restrictions for eligibility for CHL should not be in place, that any person has a right under the Constitution?

    Currently there are 13 other sates that restrict carry like Texas or worse, to include DC. How does that sit with freedom loving Texans? Most have little idea. In many states it is called “Constitutional Carry”. In effect the 2nd Amendment is their CHL or Open CL for that matter. New Hampshire, yes the by God “Live Free Or Die” state has open carry. Personally I take affront to having to plead for permission from “The Authorities” when they actually are Public Servants.

    I agree, if it’s good enough for Vermont it’s good enough for Texas. The Texas burdens on a CHL are what prompted me to get an Arizona CHL.
