food stamp program should be fixed it is very broken

My husband and I applied for food stamps when we got out of the military and we’re looking for employment. . Long story short because we were paying for a mortgage rather than rent we were only able to get like $30 per month for the two of us.. and I was pregnant. . Then I found wic which is a great program. . With all the fraud waste and abuse of food stamps anyways. . Why not make food stamps fashioned after wic.. where you are required to get the least expensive food.. no crap foods.. and get the required nutritional things in milk fruit and vegetables, bread, peanut butter.. you get the idea… I believe that it would save tons of money.. I can’t afford the fancy food, steaks, crab legs etc.. why should people who are living off the tax payers get all the unnecessary things.. we lived without cable, Internet and all the things that are unnecessary in life.. I had to go to the library to get on the Internet or the work force.. also random drug testing should be done.. if a person can afford drugs they should be able to afford food..
