we need the option of open or conceal depending on the circumstance. We also need a system for teachers to take handgun and self defense classes as part of thier benefits. Then provide them with a certification to keep a firearm at school. Also, we should never have to. Worry about being able to Cary a firearm on any public location.

I am for open carry. As long as the person can legally purchase a firearm in the state of Texas. I also firmly believe that Veterans, both combat vets and non combat vets, should not have to pay any fees associated with a concealed carry permit or an open carry permit if that is the way things go. If a person can pass a state background investigation then they should be able to openly carry a pistol on their person.
