I would suggest moving to a more Pro-Active, Options-Based concepts like “Run, Hide, Fight” which is the recommendation from Dept. of Homeland Security, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Dept. of Education, FEMA, FBI, DHHS, and other state government agencies. “Saving Lives…When Seconds Count” establishes the old Lockdown-only option. It was fine at one time but we have seen it fail and cost lives too often. What do you want students and staff to do when the shooter is in the room with them or when Lockdown doesn’t even apply?? We have 25 years of research to show what works and what should be improved. This topic needs to be revisited!!! I know you have been promoting this video for years now but it is time to look at something else.
