There is a large market worldwide for hemp products, from nutritional products to clothing to industrial applications. If Texas does not lead the way for industrial agricultural hemp, neighboring State’s will move first. Legalization of hemp will open additional market growth to Texas, helping keep Texas in the lead for national economic growth. Industrialized hemp could potentially add 1000’s, to 10,000’s of jobs in the State f Texas. Tasks ranging from land cultivation, crop cultivation, harvest, processing, and manufacture of products from which hemp could derive, [such as financial viable State housing that is both green and more cost effective than current standard construction materials allow for]. Hemp can be used for structural building in residential applications making housing more affordable and viable, helping drive another market, as well. {housing} It seems juvenile that such a versatile, natural, and organic crop remains held from The People’s hands, inhibiting potential growth and further self sufficiency for our State.
