If you really care about the safety of Texans, the overcrowded prisons, minimizing the impact of the drug cartels in our communities, wasteful spending, federal overreaching, than why do you insist on continuing Marijuana prohibition? How can you consider yourself a Texan when your excuse for not supporting ending prohibition is that you don’t want to upset the federal government? What about the sick people with cancer or the epileptic children who could have a better quality of life if you weren’t threatening to imprison them?? Do you care about them? No because the pharmaceutical companies pay you a lot more than those who are too weak to fight. Shame on you sir. And you say you want good American values for Texas. Treading on another human being’s right to liberty is a abuse and misuse of authority. I hope that one day you open your eyes and see common sense.
